Taipei 101 - Skyline 460 Observation Deck

As its name suggests, there are 101 floors in Taipei 101, it only takes you 37 seconds from the ticket office on 5th floor to the observation deck on 89th floor by elevator. The outdoor observation deck on the 91th floor brings you fresh air from a higher level. Yangmingshan National Park - An All-season Instagrammable Spot
The Yangmingshan National Park is the perfect place for a quick getaway from busy urban life, located near Downtown Taipei. Different flowers can be discovered in different seasons - cherry blossom in March, alocasia for April, hydrangea during May and June, and miscanthus in November.
The Qing-tian Hill is one of the popular sights of Yangmingshan where you can have a picnic in the park with a beautiful miscanthus view. Asian Buffalos are also living in the area, you can observe their life and actions over the fence. The one-and-only bridge of Yangmingshan is located in Cold Water Pit, imagine walking on the bridge and having a view from a height. Hot spring is one of the valuable geothermal resources in the park, you can enjoy and relax in the public hot springs and outdoor foot bath area.

Jiufen and Shifen
Believe us, we know, it has been multiple visits to Jiufen and you still cannot stay away from the amazing food street in Jiufen every time you visit Taipei. Stinky Tofu, fishballs, dumplings… you name it! The souvenir stores selling Taiwanese Tai-yang-bing, pineapple cake and souvenirs are the best place to get souvenirs for your family and friends. Jiufen is a town located on the mountain, a unique and magnificent mountain-town view can be seen in restaurants and observation deck. Shifen is another popular spot nearby, famous for its sky lanterns. Many visit Shifen just for the sky lanterns experience, writing the wishes on the lanterns and sending them to the sky, would represent wishes come true. There is also a unique cinematic scene in Shifen - “trains passing directly by the doorways”, where the local stores are right next to the train station, the daily operation of shops happens on the rail. Upon train arrival, tourists and residents would leave the rail and let the train pass.

Xinbeitou area is gifted with natural hot spring resources, known as a must-go hot spring area in Taipei. Beitou Thermal Valley, also known as Geothermal Valley or Hell Valley, is one of the sources of Xinbeitou hot spring. The year-long sulphur mist and boiling hot spring is astonishing.
The area is loaded with hot spring cuisines and hotels, people believe hot springs can relax your joints, muscles, skin, trachea and neuro, which bring numerous benefits to your health. When you go to a hot spring, don’t forget to bring along your personal care products with you too.
Huashan 1914 Creative Park and Songshan Cultural and Creative Park
Huashan 1914 Creative Park was a former sake and wine factory, and currently a popular exhibition venue. The brick house, stone wall and woods are very Instagrammable and attract lots of visitors. The handcrafted goodies stores are also very decent and loved by many.
Songshan Cultural and Creative Park was the first tobacco factory in Taiwan back in the days. Nowadays, the park is also a popular exhibition venue like Huashan 1914 Creative Park. Eslite, a famous local chain book store, is also located in the park. Feel the vibe in the creative parks and historic architecture with a film camera!
New Taipei City Art Museum
The Art Museum is a definite new place to check out! It is newly opened at the year end of 2022, is the first public art museum in New Taipei City. The aesthetic off-white exterior of the museum is modern enough and worth a visit without doubt!
Taipei Zoo and Maokong Gondola
How about including the Taipei Zoo in your itinerary? The zoo was established in 1914, it has been over a century until now. The zoo includes a Taiwan indigenous animal exhibit, children's petting zoo, tropical rain forest exhibit, desert animal exhibit, Australian and African animal exhibits, tropical animal exhibit, and petting zoo. There is also an indoor Panda exhibit, insect exhibit, amphibian and reptile exhibit, koala exhibit, and penguin exhibit. An absolute best place for a family fun day out!
The Taipei Zoo is also the first stop of Maokong Gondola, ending with Maokong as the last stop. Maokong is famous for its tea and there are many tea shops and tea cafes. Spend a quiet afternoon in the tea cafe in Maokong and enjoy the tea with the calm and stunning landscape.
Tamsui
Tamsui Old Street is divided into inner street and outer street. The outer street is the golden anchor walkway of Tamsui river coast, while the inner side is a traditional old street lined with bustling shops. There are faithfully traditional bakery stores and grocery stores.
The Fisherman’s Wharf and Lover’s Bridge are also the must-goes of Tamsui. Walking along the wooden boardwalk during sunset hour, you can overlook the beautiful sunset reflection on the water, and make the Lover’s Bridge more romantic. The firework festival every summer paints the sky with incredible sparks and makes great memories for your trip.
Night Market
The champion of the best nightlife activity in Taiwan goes to… night markets! Shilin night market, Raohe street night market, Tonghua night market, Ningxia night market and Bangka night market are the popular night markets in Taipei. You can find all the Taiwanese street foods and snacks in the market, oyster omelette, bubble milk tea, sliced noodles, shaved ice… you name it!
