OK, so you get home late at night after work, and the next morning you just want to sleep in and skip breakfast. This is not good for your health! But, if you have a Kitchen Machine, you’ll save a lot of time preparing and cooking your food!

Some people may wonder, is it better to buy a Kitchen Machine, or just get an ordinary blender or bread machine? The problem is that sometimes you can’t get the result you want from a bread machine. The texture is poor, and you can only make a few types of bread. So if you are into cooking, get a Kitchen Machine that offers multiple functions so you can handle any complex food processing steps faster and easier.

It’s much better to get a machine that can make juice, pasta and bread than buying these things from a shop. At least you know the food will be free from chemical additives and preservatives. Be aware of what you put into your body!

A Kitchen Machine can be used to make noodles, knead dough, beat eggs, blend meat, extract juice, shred vegetables and even make ice cream. If you do all these tasks manually including kneading flour, making dough and blending food, it is difficult to control the time and maybe the results are not very good. But with a Kitchen Machine, you can make simple bread in just 15 minutes.

Things to look out for when buying a Kitchen Machine

Wattage: A Kitchen Machine works like this: a motor drives the gear to rotate and start mixing. It determines the power needed to mix the dough, blending time and kneading effect. Basically, the higher the wattage, the better the performance. If the wattage is too low, it will not mix the ingredients properly, but if the wattage is too high, the machine will be noisy.

Capacity: 4-6L is sufficient for ordinary households and can make two large loaves of bread each time.

Weight: The metal base of the Kitchen Machine is heavy. This weight ensures it remains stable and heavy enough to mix ingredients without the machine moving about. If the machine is too light, ingredients could splash out even when just beating an egg!

Noise: The higher the wattage of the Kitchen Machine, the more noise it makes, but within an acceptable range. There are also low-noise Kitchen Machines.

Accessories: You get a comprehensive set that offers a broad range of functions. The most important basic function you need to consider is the mixer. Preferably it should be alloy, which is strong and durable. In addition to basic accessories, you can get additional accessories to transform your kitchen machine into an ice cream making machine, a meat blender, a pasta making machine and more.

With so many Kitchen Machines on the market, how do I pick the right one?

1) KitchenAid

This American brand offers a whole line of products with metal bodies, low wattage and low noise.

The two most commonly used are the tilt head type and bowl lift type. When using a tilt head type, just open the snap button to tilt the head of the machine. For the bowl type you only need to move the handle to position the mixing bowl.

Advantages:The capacity of the KitchenAid is 4.8L with 300W of power. Although the wattage is relatively low, it is sufficient for ordinary households and is fairly quiet during operation. It comes with a mixing rod made up of 6 metal paddles to create a unique planetary mixing action. With 10 adjustable speeds, it fulfills the processing needs of most types of food.

Disadvantages:The capacity and wattage are not high so it is not ideal if you need to do a large amount of blending and mixing.

2) Kenwood

This classic British brand was very popular during the early days when food processors were first introduced.

Advantages:Some models offer a capacity of 6.7L with 1000W to meet the needs of multi-person gatherings and are suitable for large families. The higher wattage means it is more efficient and offers better performance.

Disadvantages:High wattage, but a higher noise level.

3) Bosch

This brand is known as the king of small household appliances in Germany and comes in an affordable price range.

Advantages:Small capacity, high wattage and can handle various ingredients.

Disadvantages:Some models come with a plastic body and therefore lack texture.

4) Other Brands (Ariete, Beaba, Cuisinart, Smeg, Swan)

Advantages:Cuisinart come with an anti-splash guard to avoid food spillage. Smeg and Swan come in higher wattages to save time and effort.

Disadvantages:High wattage, higher noise level
