Hair removal FAQs

o Can anyone perform laser hair removal?

Yes, with the exception of pregnant women, cancer patients and individuals with severe illness.

o How many times does it take to achieve good results?

It normally takes between 4 to 6 laser hair removal treatments to remove most hair. Instant results can be seen with an electric epilator, but the effect is not permanent. Hot brands include BRAUNPHILIPS and Silk'n

Hot IPL hair removal include PHILIPS Lumea IPL 9000 Hair Removal BRI955 and BRAUN Silk-expert Pro 5 PL5124 Laser Hair Remover .

o Can hair be removed from any part of the body?

Yes, excess hair can be removed from any part of the body using a laser hair remover/electric epilator. However, because hair density varies in different parts of the body, treatment effects and results may differ.

o Is the frequency of hair removal the same for all parts of the body?

No. It depends on the thickness and density of the hair and rate of growth in different parts of the body. The thicker the hair, the thicker the hair shaft and so the frequency for hair removal increases

Precautions for hair removal

o Before and after care

Before hair removal, take a shower and dry the skin thoroughly. Use a razor to gently shave along the direction of hair growth and then apply the laser hair remover. The skin will become relatively dry after hair removal so be sure to apply generous amounts of moisturiser and sunscreen. Avoid: using very hot water to shower; swimming in the sun; practicing hot yoga; or going to a sauna after treatment as these activities will irritate the hair follicles.

o Remarks:

Avoid using a hair removal device on areas with cuts, wounds, acne or tattoos. Laser hair removal devices are not suitable for pregnant women and individuals with photosensitive skin.
