Recommended feeding amounts
Converting to Wellness Pet Health Diet
It is important to slowly transition your puppy from his/her current diet to Wellness Pet Health Diet as the body needs a few days to adjust to the new nutritional content. Switch brands and gradually mix the new food over a period of 5-7 days, increasing the amount of Wellness Pet Health Diet each day, and after 7 days, feed 100% Wellness Pet Health Diet.
Determine Feeding Ratio
Refer to the chart below and divide the total number of cups fed per day by the total number of feedings per day to determine the serving size. Always have a bowl of clean water ready for use. Wellness Pet Health believes in mixing dry food and canned food to help increase the water content of your puppy's diet at all times. Nutrition is only part of the equation! Be sure to give your puppy plenty of love, exercise, and regular veterinary visits to help ensure overall health.
Recommended Feeding Ratios
Every dog is slightly different, so optimal feeding amounts may vary with age, size, and activity level. The information below is for preliminary recommendations only, so adjust as necessary. Mixed Feeding: If feeding canned food, reduce the amount by 1/8 cup (16 grams) of dry food for every 2 teaspoons (tbsp).
Wet food: If feeding Wellness canned food, reduce the amount of feed by ⅓ cup (36 g) for every 6 oz (170 g) of wet food.
